The governor of the Irkutsk region wrote in a post on Telegram that a Chinese tourist managed to escape from the bus crossing the frozen lake in the incident that occurred on Friday. He said that the dead included seven Chinese tourists and the driver of the bus. Russia’s emergency ministry said rescuers used underwater cameras before beginning the operation.
